The drain test

Hold to pour a bucket on each one.

Same bucket, three yards. Watch where the water goes.

Press and hold, or hold the space bar. With reduced motion on, one tap shows the result.

Built for dogs

Five things we do differently for dog yards.

Flow-through backing

The whole backing drains, not just holes every few inches.

Odor-control infill

A mineral infill that holds down ammonia between rinses.

A potty zone

Extra drainage rock under the spot they always use.

Dig-proof edges

Nailed every 6 inches and finished against pavers or steel.

A cool side

Shade or Cool-Touch turf where they lie down in the afternoon.

Mesa · Dobson Ranch

Two big dogs, no mud, no smell.

Bare dirt, two labs and mud tracked through the house every time it rained. They wanted somewhere to sit at night too. $20,600, or about $428 a month.

FAQ

Dog owner questions.

Will it smell?
Not if it’s built and cared for right. Flow-through backing lets urine pass straight into the base, the odor-control infill holds down the ammonia, and a weekly rinse in summer does the rest.
Will my dog dig it up?
Diggers go for edges. We nail edges every 6 inches and finish them against pavers, a steel border or a concrete curb, so there’s nothing to grab.
Is it safe on paws in summer?
Any turf in full July sun gets hot. Plan shade on the dog’s side, rinse it in the afternoon, and use Cool-Touch turf where they lie down.
How do I clean it?
Pick up solids, rinse the potty spot once a week in summer and spray an enzyme cleaner once a month. Our Care Plan includes a deep sanitize.
What about big dogs?
Big dogs are why pet turf exists. It’s denser, shorter and springs back, and the base is built to drain more water, faster.
