Artificial turf

Artificial turf installed in Phoenix, from $11 a sq ft.

Turf that looks like a lawn, not a carpet, on a base that drains. Seams glued and nailed so you can’t find them, edges that don’t lift, and the heat handled.

The seam test

Find the seam.

Drag across. On the left, a rushed seam with the backing showing. On the right, ours: glued, nailed every 6 inches, and brushed so the blades lean the same way.

  • Rolls laid with the grain all one way
  • Seam tape and adhesive, then nails every 6 inches
  • Infill and a power brush to stand the blades up

The install

Eight steps, and most of them are underground.

This is where cheap turf jobs cut corners. It’s also why ours carry a 5-year guarantee on seams, edges, base and drainage.

FAQ

Turf questions.

How long does artificial turf last in Phoenix?
Good turf lasts 15 to 20 years here. The sun is the enemy, so we only install UV-stabilized turf with a 15-year manufacturer warranty.
Will weeds come through?
Rarely. We dig out 4 inches, lay a weed barrier, and compact the base before the turf goes down. A stray weed at an edge pulls right out.
Can you put turf over dirt or caliche?
Not directly. We dig it out, haul it off and build a crushed-rock base. That base is why the turf stays flat.
What maintenance does it need?
Blow off leaves, rinse it now and then, and brush it twice a year. A Turf Tune-Up is $149 if you’d rather we do it.
Will my HOA allow it?
Most Valley HOAs do, with rules on color, blade height and where it goes. We send the product sheets with your plan.
