Price and payment

Is the price really fixed?
Yes. The price on your plan is the price you pay. If we hit caliche, a buried pipe or an old stump, that’s on us. The only change is one you ask for, in writing.
Can I finance it?
Yes. Sample terms: 60 months at 8.99% APR with approved credit. A $15,000 backyard is about $311 a month.
What makes a yard cost more?
Tight side-yard access, slopes, old concrete to break out, a long gas run to the fire pit, and HOA color requirements. Your plan shows each one.
Is there a deposit?
Ten percent when you sign, the rest at the walkthrough. No money changes hands for the design.
Do you give discounts?
We don’t pad prices to discount them later. The October offer is free path lights on any backyard over $12,000.

Turf and heat

Will the turf be too hot for my kids and dogs?
In July, any surface in full sun gets hot. We use lighter blades and a cooling infill that drops the surface temperature after a quick rinse, and we plan shade where you sit. Pavers and DG go where nobody walks barefoot.
How long does turf last?
Good turf lasts 15 to 20 years in the Valley. We only install UV-stabilized turf with a 15-year manufacturer warranty.
Does turf fade?
All turf fades a little over the years. UV-stabilized blades keep their color far longer than cheap ones.
Does it look fake?
Not with tan thatch in the blades and a power brush after install. Most people can’t tell from the street.

Dogs

Will it smell if my dogs use it?
Not if it’s built for dogs. Pet turf has backing that drains straight through, an infill that holds down odor, and a base that lets water out. Rinse the dog’s spot once a week in summer.
Will my dog dig it up?
Edges are nailed every 6 inches and finished against pavers or steel, so there’s nothing to grab.
What do I clean it with?
A hose weekly in summer and an enzyme cleaner monthly. Our Care Plan includes a deep sanitize.

The install

Do I need to be home for the design visit?
It helps, but no. We measure from satellite first and only need 30 minutes in the yard. Leave the side gate open and we’ll text you photos.
How long does the install take?
Most backyards take 2 to 5 days once the HOA approves. Big builds with a pergola or a gas line take longer, and your plan says how long.
Do I need to be home during the build?
No. We text photos at the end of each day, and Eli walks it with you at the end.
What about my sprinklers?
We cap the lawn heads and keep the drip lines your plants need. It’s on your plan.

HOA and rebates

Do you handle the HOA?
Yes. We prepare the drawing, the materials list and the product sheets your HOA asks for. Most approvals take one to four weeks.
Can I get a rebate for removing grass?
Some Valley cities pay for it, but their turf rules differ. Peoria and Chandler don’t pay for turf. Phoenix can, depending on the design.
Do I apply for the rebate or do you?
You apply, because the city pays you. We give you the measurements, photos and plan they ask for.

Warranty and care

What’s the warranty?
Five years on our work: seams, edges, base, drainage and settling. The turf maker adds 15 years on the turf itself.
What does the warranty not cover?
Damage from vehicles, fire, chemicals or digging animals other than pets, and normal wear. It does cover our seams, edges, base and drainage.
How do I take care of pavers?
Sweep them, rinse them, and seal them every 2 to 3 years. Polymeric sand keeps weeds out of the joints.
