Epoxy, polyaspartic or polyurea?

The question on every estimate, answered for an Arizona garage. Short version: plain epoxy yellows and lifts out here, and a polyaspartic clear coat doesn’t.

Questions

System questions.

What’s the actual difference between epoxy and polyaspartic?
Epoxy is cheap and hard but it yellows in UV, cures slowly and can soften under hot tires. Polyaspartic is a type of polyurea that stays clear in the sun, cures in hours and flexes a little with the slab.
Why not polyaspartic for the base coat too?
We use a polyurea base because it soaks into ground concrete and grabs. Polyaspartic goes on top, where UV and tires do their damage.
Is a “one-day floor” rushed?
Not if the grind is done right. The chemistry cures in hours. The rush jobs are the ones that skip the grind to finish by noon.
