How a green pool gets clear.

We don’t drain green pools unless we have to. Phoenix water is hard and expensive, and the fix is chemistry and filtering.

Then keep it clear with weekly service

  1. 01

Day 1: test, shock and brush

We test the water, add a heavy dose of chlorine and algaecide, brush every surface and get the filter running around the clock.

    FC 20+ ppm
  2. 02

    Day 2: vacuum and rebalance

Dead algae settles to the bottom. We vacuum it out to waste so it never goes back through your filter.

  3. 03

    Day 3: clean the filter

Your filter catches everything we killed. We clean it, retest and send a photo report.

    pH 7.5 · clear

    After: stay clear

Put it on weekly service and the Clear Water Guarantee covers you if it ever turns again.

Questions

Green pool questions

Why did my pool turn green?
Usually chlorine ran out. In a Phoenix summer the sun can burn off a week of chlorine in two days, and algae grows fast in warm water. A broken pump or a dirty filter speeds it up.
Can we swim during the cleanup?
Not until we say so. Chlorine is very high for the first day or two. Most pools are swimmable by day 3.
Should I just drain it?
Almost never. Draining costs water, can damage plaster in the heat, and still leaves algae on the walls. Chemistry and filtering fix it faster.
Will my neighbors report it?
They can. Maricopa County checks green pools for mosquitoes. Clearing it fast is the best answer.
What if it turns green again?
If you’re on weekly full service, our Clear Water Guarantee covers it at no charge.
